@NataleeBohanon Aww, thanks! Yeah, I'd be flattered if you want to adopt the mechanics! I'll warn you, though that it can be a wee bit awkward to write - at least for *my* implementation of it, where projected thoughts aren't words, but raw data. I tend to find "he said" "she said" doesn't fit well, but I am a very novice writer and I bet you could find better ways to implement it. Btw, if you're looking for more similar material that actually inspired my take on telepathy, check out "Hitchups" by The Antic Repartee and "To Soar into the Sunset: A Night Fury's Odd Memoir" by Fjord Mustang. They're both on Fanfiction.net, but have some interesting and believable telepathic mechanics *without* going down the rabbit hole of dragons mind-controlling people like Jedi knights. Also, Isaac Asimov's Foundation trilogy (esp. the 2nd and 3rd books) were a big inspiration, too). Lemme know how your story goes; I'd be interested to see.
