"What's the most painful way to die?," she asked me. I let out a breath of air, watching the cloud float in front of my wind bitten face and stared up at the midnight sky. The stars twinkled like thousands of lights and it that moment it all hit me full force. "Falling in love," I whispered. Because truth is, it's suicide. Guess that makes us all suicidal then. "What makes you say that? Isn't it supposed to beautiful?" I turned to her, the stars reflecting in her eyes, the dark contrast making the breath in my throat hitch. "Yeah. It is. But it's also what makes you drown. It's something so hard and so easy to do." I let my voice trail off, laying back in the grass and just listening to the cars.
