i just had a double show day and i’m literally crying everything hurts
ok a little backstory:
i’m a dancer (if you couldn’t tell from my username) and the place i dance at chose to do cinderella for our spring show!! i was all hype because i was finally getting a chance for a lead en pointe!!!
so i was cast as the fairy godmother (i change my display name based on my role in our shows) and i was so happy (and is still happy don’t get me wrong) but then i went to rehearsals and found out that i’m in EVERY SINGLE SCENE (i’m also arabian princess so there’s an extra scene)

ok so everything for fairy godmother is en pointe and i have the most stage time besides cinderella so we were bonding in the dressing room bc we were the only one of our friends who were offstage at the same time. and we were talking about how much we have to be en pointe and how we have basically no breaks (she gets a whole scene but she’s on stage for the entire rest of the show) so we have a pretty equal amt of stage time
anyway that was me yapping sry
what i came to complain about was how much m feet hurt from being en pointe for 2 shows (and 10 hours for tech day yesterday) and i literally can’t walk bc my muscles are so sore *crying in i should find a new hobby*
anyways have a nice day/ night and maybe share stories of your suffering??
