R.A. Lopez has been writing since he was 4 years old, starting with songs and poetry but swiftly moving into short stories and game development in Elementary School. In his youth he received many accolades from smaller groups like the National Library of Poetry, The Raven's Writing Group, and even a scholarship to Duke University's Creative Writing Youth Program. Queer Haiku is his first official book but over the last two decades he's produced dozens of "zines" and nearly three decades blogging (often with citations and heavy fact checking, he has a degree in digital publishing and multimedia which includes classes on ethics in journalism / copyright law / publishing) from the 1990 until now writing about world politics, art, science, religion/philosophy, pop culture, music, video games, and other passions. His biggest passion is game development and worldcrafting; he hosts groups of 6-10 for playtesting but has been a Dungeonmaster / Game Developer for over 30 years! He is set to publish his tabletop role playing game and setting named Empyrean d20 in a 'naked' edition, with essential art only in the Spring 2019. He is also one half of The Moonlight Collection in which myself and a mysterious relative of mine collaborate on 13 poems each (26 between the two of us per chapbook) handcrafting chapbooks for seasonal passages. Three are currently available: The Moonlight Collection of Halloween Poetry, The Moonlight Collection of Winter Poetry, and The Moonlight Collection of Beginnings & Endings; the fourth chapbook will be available in April 2019.
