Author I would recommend: Philippa Gregory, author of The Queen's Fool, The Virgin's Lover and The Other Boleyn Girl. An amazing author whose books are based on real people, kings and queens and the people in their court, told from their perspective. Love, hate, intrigue, corruption, murder, heresy, treason and betrayal all wrapped up into each book. These books are a perfect mix of the romance, historical fiction, suspense and mystery genres.
