@dowithout might be cheesy but maybe Roger is close to Joyce and she asks him to watch her sons while she works? Plus he's a single dad and he brings his lil goblin over to see Joyce because why not and he's close to their family overall?

          I will say, in the series, Rog is like an older sibling to the og gang sort of like Steve so if you wanted them to have like an older brother type relationship that's fine, if you're not comfortable I understand! I don't typically have him interact with minor oc unless they're like a baby sister of one of the older canon characters yk? So that he isn't hanging around kids for no reason LMFAO
