Hi! I'm D.M. Jordan. I was a copywriter who wrote content for social media platforms. During my years as a copywriter, I'd made a decent living, but at the peak of my career as the head copywriter for one of New York's leading digital advertising agencies, I had a bit of a nervous breakdown.

No, make that a big nervous breakdown that put me in the hospital.

While I was recovering, I started writing a novel for something to make me sane again.

However, this proved to be more challenging than I had anticipated. I had no prior experience writing a novel of my own, and the initial outcomes reflected that lack of knowledge.

Leaning on my savings, I would take my laptop to the main library on 42nd Street to write. Despite my discouragement, I repeatedly returned to the Rose Main Reading Room, dreaming of the day I would publish my book.

The cloud murals adorning the ceiling inspired me, prompting me to think about writing a romance novel. But what would be the subject?

As I drew closer to the reality of becoming a starving writer, I figured there might be some inspiration in that experience.

I was going through therapy at the time (my life had entirely fallen apart) and my therapist suggest I make my book about the pitfalls and triumphs of going through psychotherapy. It worked. And out of the chaos came the novel ANALYZE ME.
