            sokolov had no shame , or at least barely any left .  the man knew how insane he sounded , so why not play along and amp up the crazy ?  in the end , it was all a show so why not make things exciting ?  at least , that was his way of thinking .  “ ah  ,  ah  ,  ah .  i’m afraid that’s not possible .  i know what you’ll do it it and i would hate for all that time and effort to go to waste .  ” he gave a faux pout , though there was clear hints of annoyance sprinkled across his face , easy to pin if looking close enough .

            sokolov huff out what sounded like some sort of amusement , even if he were to be cornered , to be tied up , he would still managed to keep his spirts high..  for he always had a way out .  no matter the circumstances , soon again he would be free .  “ you should know compliance isn’t really my style .  ”  he let out a brief laugh , an unsettling smile gracing his expression .  “ besides..  it’s only a matter of minutes until i’m free again so perhaps i’ll be kind enough and continue to play along .  though  ,  i really do enjoy this constant game of cat and mouse .  would hate for it to have such an abrupt ending .  ”

            Roxy shoots her a look through the pain, laughing breathlessly as she keeps pressure against the wound.
            
            “Okaaay, noted,” she winces. “Never piss off the pretty medic with access to sharp objects.”
            
            A shaky exhale leaves her after.
            
            “Seriously though, remind me to buy you a coffee after this or something, because I feel like you’re one bad shift away from legally killing somebody.”

@greazemnky.     ☣︎     …     vera was not usually one to deny friendly banter—-   but exhaustion and weariness tore at the seams of her mind more than usual.   either she needed more caffeine, or she was finally tired of the constant strife she witnessed daily on the job…   who knows?
                  she gave her chatty patient a strained smile, pressing down on a laceration just a little bit harder than necessary.     ``   put pressure on here for a bit.   ``

good girl. at least, i didn't become a sliced up bit of meat.  [he had joked, typical leon kennedy fashion, a man who could make up a joke in any situation even if danger was right on his doorstep, placing his gun back into it's holster as his gaze settled on the woman's face, then speaking.]  well, looks like my good looks are keeping up their job, right?  [another laugh, arms moved to hang down beside him.]

                 vera’s expression is mostly blank, save for the small, wry smile on her lips— a slight underreaction, given that she had just about sliced the man before her open.
                  ``   i’m sorry.   ``   she gives a faint laugh, gaze glinting with a hint of teasing.   ``   i’m not sure why i was so startled.   you don’t look terrifying at all.   ``
