Forgive my 3AM thoughts. I am just bothered by how the society today have turned into a toxic, pessimistic, and exhausting community.

Have you heard of the word, ULTRACREPIDARIAN? They are individuals who express their opinions on matters outside the scope of their knowledge or expertise. Hmmm.

In today's society, it has become all too common for individuals to pass negative judgments on things they do not fully understand. Everyone has an opinion on everything, regardless of their level of expertise or knowledge on the subject. The rise of social media has only exacerbated this issue, as it allows for the instant dissemination of opinions and judgments to a wide audience. With just a few clicks, anyone can share their thoughts on a topic, whether they have taken the time to research and understand it or not. This has created a culture of knee-jerk reactions and snap judgments, where the loudest voices often overshadow those who have taken the time to educate themselves on a subject.

One of the most concerning aspects of this trend is the impact it has on our society as a whole. When individuals are quick to criticize and condemn things they do not understand, it can lead to a lack of empathy and understanding among people. This can create a toxic environment where differing opinions are not valued, and open dialogue is stifled. It can perpetuate stereotypes and misinformation, leading to division and conflict among groups of people. It can also prevent progress and innovation, as new ideas are dismissed before they have a chance to be fully explored.

In order to combat this trend, it is essential that we encourage a culture of curiosity and open-mindedness. However, even that is an arduous task. Lol.

Hi Blue! It’s been a while and as always, your thoughts are highly appreciated.

Most of the time, I don’t care what’s happening in my peripheries (either in real life or virtual) but there are days that it frustrates and irks me that I care a lot. I wish I could just bin them out, like you said, but I can’t just ignore it.

I typically ignore social media, been busy with lots of more important things. But at the same time, I need to be informed of the current events, as it relates to my new life now. So I cannot just deflect or dodged them, even if I want to. Haha.

Thanks for the quote. It’s not the uncertainties of tomorrow that takes away my joy, it is the high probabilities of happening in the days to come, that left me anxious.

No harness or fence can save you from the void, when it calls for you. But don’t worry, I can still ignore it. Haha. It’s really nice to hear from you again. Be safe always. Hope things are better at your end.

Wow 3am thoughts can really mess up your circadian rhythm if you’re not careful lol. Thought provoking nevertheless same as the rest of your previous entries.
Nowadays I am a self proclaimed savant for compartmentalising things according to the ones I do care about and the things that I really don’t need in my life right now- I just bin them out- out there into oblivion.
Disinformation and big empty chats, I am able to dodge and deflect like Neo to the bullets oops sorry bad bad spur of the moment logic lol. Pardon moi.
I try to avoid social media full stop, as it is becoming a petri dish for fomenting considerable polarisation among other things that don’t necessarily make us more human.
As introvert as I am, I try to socialise more and have a good chat and banter with friends and colleagues. I find that it’s more personal and meaningful. More like a life outside social media the old fashion way where you can lay all your cards on the table or.. not.
And finally.. I’d like to cap off this unsolicited convo with a quote that isn’t mine but had inspired me: Don’t let the uncertainties of tomorrow take away the joy of today.
Regards and I hope that there’s always a safety harness for whenever your void calls.
We are silently reading all your notes and rest assure that a lot of times we cannot formulate a moment worthy reply.

Have you ever felt so tired and indifferent about life that even the simplest tasks feel like monumental challenges? You wake up in the morning and can barely muster the energy to get out of bed, let alone face another day of the same routine and responsibilities.

You feel like you're drifting through life, a mere spectator to the passing moments and events that swirl around you. You long to feel something, anything, to break free from the suffocating grip of indifference that threatens to swallow you whole.

But the weight of exhaustion and apathy feels insurmountable, a heavy shroud that smothers your spirit and leaves you gasping for air. You want to care, you want to feel alive and engaged in the world around you, but the effort required to do so feels overwhelming and draining.

I just wanna disappear sometimes. And be gone…

On the brink of just “letting go”. The alluring call of the void; tempting me more.

The call of the void is a whisper in the wind, tugging at my heart, like a haunting presence that lingers in the corner of my mind. Like the siren song that beckons me to the edge of the cliff, daring me to lean a little closer, to stare down into the abyss that lies below.

Like an urge, a temptation to jump when standing on a tall building, or to swerve into oncoming traffic when driving on a deserted road, or to touch the flame when it dances so invitingly in front of me. It is the primal urge to defy gravity, to challenge fate, to test the limits of mortality.

The “call of the void” is a reminder of my fragility, impermanence, and insignificance in the grand scheme of the universe. It is a harsh whisper of mortality that caresses the skin, sending shivers down my spine, a reminder that I am but tiny specks in the vast expanse of time and space.

But it is also a call to embrace the unknown, to surrender to the chaos, to dive headfirst into the depths of my own darkness. It is an invitation to explore the depths of my psyche; to confront my fears, my demons, and the darkness that resides within myself.

I wanna heed to the call of the void; embrace the darkness and the light, to dance on the edge of the abyss and revel in the chaos that surrounds me. For in the darkness, I may find my true self, my purpose, and my destiny.

The “call of the void” is a symphony of contradictions, a paradox of existence, a reminder that in the depths of despair, I may find a spark of hope, a glimmer of light, a promise of rebirth. So I want to answer the call, to embrace the void, and to transcend my limitation as I soar into the unknown.

Language evolves with time. It varies from generation to generation; across social groups and time.

New words are borrowed, invented, and morphed. Old words develop, or they may drift, decay, and may be forgotten in time. It’s quite amazing and perplexing to hear new words; new slang. (Entertaining at most LOL).

Every generation has their unique way of communicating; of conveying themselves. It’s baffling (sometimes, it is the cause of my frustration haha), but I love learning new things.

There’s this gen Z slang that I really love, “Do it for the plot”, they say. It’s their way of saying to write your own narrative and dictate how your story unfolds; that you are the main character of your story; that what you decide in that moment will change the chapter of your life, whether for good or bad, (no matter the outcome) because your story shouldn’t be dictated and should be entirely written by you.

It is the YOLO for the millennials but, Do it for the plot is a more conscious decision that gives you control on how to live your life, unapologetically. That it is just one plot in a larger narrative you call “life”. Just a point in your life that may or may not change the course of your life, but do it anyway, because the regret of not knowing what could’ve been if you tried, may become one of the greatest what if in your life. So do it for the plot.

They say, "Politics is a circus!" But I beg to disagree...

It's a ZOO... at least with circus, animals are trained, in zoo, not so much!

@danymartel for real. I'm still disappointed with the results, but oh well, it goes to prove that Filipinos aren't ready for change
