Dan Martin

At 25, Dan and his wife, quit careers, sold their home/vehicles, threw away their phones/computers, and left society.

For 6yrs, the two lived off-the-grid in the desert, cut-off, not re-entering society once and not seeing another person the entire time. They built their home from available materials and lived on rainwater, hydroponics and hand raised livestock. Dan made solar/wind power systems, while Lucia raised animals and cultivated/preserved food, eliminating any need for money.

In 2010, they began providing relief to disaster victims in the form of renewable energy, alternative fuels, natural building and general self-sufficiency. As a result, Dan has been on CNN, MSNBC, Men's Journal, Esquire, Men's Health, and The Travel Channel, and worked on TV shows like The Walking Dead, Doomsday Preppers and The Colony, and therefore is widely considered to be a leading expert on the subject.

In 2011, he published, "Apocalypse How to Survive a Global Crisis", an accumulation of these experiences, the author has actually lived in  Haiti, Colombia, Iraq, Mexico and Venezuela during/after their respective tragedies. He knows the ins/outs of day-to-day life in environments when humanity is at its lowest and society, safety and security, have broken down.
