Heyyyyy! I keep on dying then coming back, but that's fine. I think I've said before that I work as a stage crew for my school's musical Annie. Yesterday was our opening night and there were A LOT of problems so I'ma talk about them.
Oliver Warbucks froze while saying a line because he got scared and forgot what to say. As soon as he came backstage he bursted out into tears, we had no idea why he was crying because not a single person noticed.
I got a splinter that wouldn't come out, when it finally came out there was blood everywhere.
I started crying before the show even started.
A mover/friend got her phone taken away and she wasn't allowed to do bows because of it.
Miss Hannigan ran into a set piece, she now has a bruise.
(We use these things called triangles for set pieces, there are 4 of them and they are on wheels. All 4 have a side painted to look like the orphanage, 2 have a side painted to look like the radio station)
The radio station is the hardest move in our musical so, of course, when I had to move a triangle I got my foot run over by a wheel.
Grace is sick but has to be there, her voice was cracking while singing because of a sore throat and no one noticed.
We were missing a rag for "Hard Knock Life".
Annie almost fell off stage.
A featured dancer in "NYC" couldn't find her flapper dress. She found an extra small and it fit, but she did have to pull down her dress a lot while dancing.
Someone stole $40 from a mover.
Someone took white eyeliner from an orphan.
I was bitten by Warbucks (idk why) and he actually drew blood.
My mom was SUPER late to pick me up so I had to wait outside in the cold with our musical director.
I FaceTimed my little cousin 2 hours before the show, people cussed her out and flipped her off (she's 9).
