            [  he was too mad at himself to question why harper and flynn hadn’t told him by now.  maybe they didn’t want it to be public knowledge.  ]   it makes sense… how everyone in the town gravitates to her.  that would mean her roots go back to the beginning of blithe.  i just don’t get why– why her?  she’s just a child.
