Hello everyone!!

Since publishing the Character Introductions chapter for Mia, one thought has stayed with me—I didn’t give this first chapter the kind of introduction my debut book truly deserves.

When I first wrote Mia back in 2019, it was one of the most personal, emotional, and healing experiences of my life. But when I uploaded it here, I was nervous. I rushed through the beginning, more focused on getting it out there than making it feel whole. In that rush, the first chapter didn’t get the heart it needed.

Mia’s story is raw, vulnerable, and layered with emotion—much like my own—and I wanted that to come through from the very first page. So, I took a step back, breathed, and rewrote it. The chapter now goes deeper into who Mia is—her quiet strength, her pain, her loneliness, and the small spark of hope that begins to grow when someone finally sees her. I poured everything I had into this rewrite, and I hope it resonates with you in a deeper, more powerful way.

If you’ve read it before, I’d love for you to revisit it. And if you’re discovering it for the first time, welcome. I’m so grateful you’re here. This story means the world to me, and I hope that somewhere in these pages, it means something to you, too.

Thank you for supporting Mia—and for seeing her the way I do.

          	With love and honesty,
          	Catherin Bakaloff

Hey everyone!!

As you may know, I’m currently publishing Prophecy, but I know many of you have been eagerly awaiting the next installment of a particular series of mine... With that in mind, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—I’ve officially started writing Future [Book 3 of the Mia Series] and am currently editing the Prologue!!

In addition to Prophecy, I plan to publish my very first RWBY fanfiction, titled DAYBREAK... This means I’ll be juggling three projects at once—a massive undertaking—but I’m genuinely excited to dive into it all and rise to the challenge.

Here’s where things stand: I don’t have any finished chapters for Future or DAYBREAK beyond the Prologue just yet, but... I’d love to hear your thoughts. Would you like me to share those two chapters now, or would you prefer to wait until Prophecy is fully complete?

Keep in mind that, unlike Prophecy, I don’t have a set schedule for Future or DAYBREAK—both are works in progress, so chapters will be published as I finish them.

Your input means so much to me, so please let me know what you think—I can’t wait to hear from you!! =)

@RisingPhoenix311, your response truly touched my heart. Thank you so much for your beautiful words and unwavering support—it means more than I can express. To know that Mia’s Diary resonated with you and that Future brought you joy is incredibly special to me. You saw the heart in it, and that alone makes every emotional scene and sleepless night worth it.

I’m so excited that you’re looking forward to what’s next. DAYBREAK has been a slower process with everything I’m juggling, but your encouragement is exactly the kind of fuel I need. Just knowing readers like you are out there—eager and patient—keeps me going.

Sending all my love and thanks right back your way. I’m honored to share these stories with you. <3

            With love,
