Wish there were better way to describe this, but here goes:

I have read the Potter books over 10 times each when little. I remember being fully invested in the moments in those books, and the feelings I had when reading them - the delight in the romantic scenes, the dread of the darker ones, the jealousy, the stupid mistakes characters made to make their lives worse at the moment. I haven't had that for 15 years.

I am generally opposed to gender swaps in existing fiction works, though I do recognize that it can work. I believe it works when the genders have little or nothing to do with the plot.

          But.

This is not the case at all!

When I watched the Yule Ball AI short, about Harry and Draconia, I went searching for the source and found your work.

I haven't slept through the night and read everything up to book 5 and am still reading.

You have made me feel deeply about the characters and the story again. I needed this, more than I realized. I absolutely love how you handled things. Sure, writing isn't perfect, some dialogues are feeling repetitive and some - shallow. However, that's how I felt about the early books as well at times. It is the emotional investment that I took from this. And it is deep. It touched me in a way I've forgotten it can and I absolutely love it.

I want to say - thank you! Please, keep going. It says on your profile here that this is for fun.

It mean the world to me.

@Naismith117 Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback. It means a lot knowing my story brought back those feelings for you. I know my writing isn’t perfect, and I appreciate you being honest while still seeing what I’m trying to do with the characters.

Thank you for giving the story a chance, your comment truly made my day.
