My next poetry collection is titled…
‘The Picturehouse’
I’ve spent the last year or so studying film in college and it has been the most enjoyable, rewarding and equally chaotic and stressful year of my life. So, me being me, of course that was going to seep into my writing.
This book is all about self-deprecation, confusion, loss, romance and self-discovery. I feel like it’s very honest and it was certainly cathartic to write.
I will be releasing it throughout the summer, one poem at a time. (It’s quite long so please bear with me!!) I’m so excited. The first poem is titled ‘Adrift, A Script’ and it’s out now.

@caIebjames I love how you disappear and then continue to just casually drop the hardest hitting lines — penning packed, eventful periods in your life into the most beautiful, emotionally charged books. Such king behavior tbh.
Just finished reading "Songs I'll Never Share — Or So I Thought" because I've missed your writing ever since I returned to Wattpad and Wattpad just doesn't hit the same without releases from Caleb James. It was such a lovely, touching and at times, whimsical book. I think "Pages" was my favorite because of the beautiful storytelling in that piece and just how classic it is. I've mentioned this before, but I sing, and I'd love to be able to sing to one of these poems as if it were a song one day, except I don't compose music and would struggle to write a melody for it. The urge is there though! The piece about your grandparents was so poignant and tear-jerkingly touching. I only got to meet one out of all my grandparents, and even then, my grandmother had amnesia and didn't fully recognize me, so I understand and sympathize with your pain and sense of missing them. I know your grandparents would be so, so proud of you. You're an excellent writer, and I can confidently say you've made a difference in my life with your writing, and feel that you have the ability to touch so many other people's lives, too. I also just love binging your old works while you take breaks to release more books, to see how you used to write when you were younger and witness how you've grown over the years. I remember I made a similar appreciation post for "Lionheart" under @writinginprocess but I've since deleted my account and felt the need to post this, haha! Excitedly awaiting updates about your upcoming book this month! Good luck!!

And the fact you mentioned our grandparents is just so touching. My grandfather passed back in March so for you to write that just honestly means so much.

My next book is finally finished! I’m so excited to release it very soon. It took on a lot of forms over the last few months but I’m finally happy with it and think it’s ready to be released into this crazy world!!
One of the poems (which is my favorite that I’ve ever written!!) was written in May 2022 in Los Angeles, so I’ve been sitting on it for quite a while now. I just never could find a home for it… until now!! I’m so thrilled!
I’ll tell you guys more about it very soon! The summer is going to be fun!
