{  lavinia and roman sat together on a picnic blanket besides a lake. they were (supposed to be) making flower crowns together as lavinia decided she would try to distract roman with it. did this work? nope- roman wasn't paying much attention to her at all, instead he was staring out to the lake, watching the ducks as they glided across the water. lavinia glanced at him with a playful sigh as she shook her head, she expected him to get distracted somehow, that happened a lot, he has a lot of thoughts.  }    ❝ ro, you're sat on your crown! ❞    {  she said loudly, tilting her head. roman looked at her and sighed, getting up and kicking the flower crown from where he was sat, off the blanket.  }    ❝ i'll go find some more flowers, then. ❞    {  he muttered out, his sister nodding in response. he soon went on his way to find more flowers, picking some and laying them in his hand. then he saw a very beautiful flower which he liked the look of, he grinned a little as he walked towards it but then came back to his senses and noticing two people sat just infant of the flower, making it so he wasn't able to get it. he just stared at them, not saying anything, for now.  }

            “it’s very weird, but interesting. they don’t have limbs, but they have bones. from 100-400, and they’re all backbones. very flexible ones too.”    ( that was one of his least favorite facts, but raven had always loved it. lawrence assumed it had something to do with her small, weird obsession with bones, but he’d never outright said anything about it. 
            the smiling was simply confusing raven, a lot, but she’d tuned into the conversation enough that once she heard the fact, she grinned. it was an involuntary reaction that happened when she got excited— she’d smile. )

            { lavinia tilted her head and looked back at lawrence, her eyes widening slightly. }.   “that’s weird- i couldn’t live like that.”    { she quickly shook her head in a very dramatic way, her straight brown hair just gliding around as she moved her head. roman remained silent and just kept to himself, occasionally looking at the others and giving raven a small smile every so often. }

            “they also smell with their tongues, and instead of hearing, they feel vibrations with their jaws.”    ( once lawrence started, there was really no stopping him— he loved snakes, and having someone other than raven listen to his facts was actually really nice. it made him smile. raven, on the other hand, was only half listening to the conversation. she’d heard at least half the things he was going to say more than once, so she took the liberty on focusing on someone else— roman. he intrigued her, which didn’t mean a lot since most people did, but something seemed off about him. )
