She has plans that don't involve a plane crash and definitely does not involve falling in love with a delinquent like Natalie Scatorccio. Natalie is a thunderstorm. She's the wind that knocks over trees. She's the rain that washes out roads. She's chaos wrapped in a neat little bow. And she's going to wreck Magnolia's life, whether the latter likes it or not.

            tropes. unlikely friendship, friends to lovers, forced proximity, star crossed lovers
            Fayola King didn't want to go on that plane. She was terrified of heights. But when the school paper asked her to make a report on the soccer team's time at nationals (not to mention her little sister Akilah being on the team), she couldn't say no. This was her big break! Except she didn't get to report on nationals. She got to report on their crash, their time in the wilderness, and her love story with one of the players. Only for it to never see the light of day. Now, that same girl she fell for is running for senate and guess who's writing about it? Fayola King. What a turn of events.
