Born and raised on a quaint farm in Appleton, Wisconsin, Brian Kersten Minnesota, nurtured a deep-seated compassion and understanding for animals from a young age. His educational endeavors led him to the University of Minnesota, where he excelled in his studies, earning a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and graduating with high distinction in 1977.

Fast forward to today, he stands as the proud founder of Mercy Veterinary Service in Baldwin, WI, a clinic born out of his commitment to making veterinary care more accessible and affordable. Here, he excels in animal care, minimal animal medicine, surgery, and veterinary dentistry. He also serves as a relief veterinarian in Amery, WI, playing a crucial role in enhancing animal welfare across different communities.

After obtaining his undergraduate degree, he furthered his education and acquired a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1983. His initial professional experiences were rooted in mixed animal practice in Burlington, WI, where he honed his skills and gained valuable insights. In 1985, he dedicated 2.5 years to humanitarian efforts in Haiti, showcasing his commitment to service. He later established his veterinary practice in Baldwin, WI, eventually owning a veterinary practice in 2001 and serving as President of the Pierce St. Croix Humane Society.
