[spoilers again!]

first off, Barney. i won’t lie...i teared up. a lot.

second, the suspects list. maybe i’m just...not good at predicting things OR paying attention to detail, but i really didn’t expect elliott to be involved like THAT. and i never, ever, EVER considered becca to be a suspect at all. i didn’t make the connection when pippa said, “The last person to see her [Andie] alive.”

third, screw max hastings!! i was picturing him as max from the thundermans the entire time

fourth & final thing: sal. i have no idea why, but i grew so attached to sal in such a short period of time even without actually getting to meet him apart from the police interview. it may be because i was hoping so bad for him to be innocent, or maybe it was because eventually he WAS proven to be innocent. it’s tragic how quickly his life was taken and how he was painted as a killer for so many years when he hadn’t even done anything

overall, 9/10. i’m not a professional book reviewer or anything, but i thought it was such a great read. i loved it, but i’m upset at myself for finishing it so quickly
