Hi everyone, bigimp here (author of The Painted Altar, Kill Who You Want, The Third Shadow and The Scent of Death).
After the inevitable round of rejections by UK publishing agents, I have now posted my latest work, The Trail Killer., in its entirety onto the site. Set in 1986 in rural England, the story revolves around the wrongful arrest of an Indian immigrant for the murders of two young women along a local hiking trail. Though intended primarily as a twisty, suspenseful page-turner, the novel also explores the themes of racial prejudice and gender inequality. At 100,000 words, it is also my longest work to date.
Once rejected by the publishing world, it's always a real honour and motivational factor for me to share my work with my wattapad followers and know that my efforts haven't been completely in vain. I hope you will enjoy it.
In the meantime I'll keep plugging away and who knows maybe one day the stars will align and I'll finally get something published.
Thanks so much for your support. As always, your comments and votes will be immensely appreciated.

@bigimp Hello there. What a shame that no publishing agents accepted your book yet. Perhaps it simply means that your big deal is yet to come, so keep up the good work! I thoroughly enjoyed your three stories here on Wattpad, and I can't wait to dive into The Trail Killer.

Hey, stranger...
I don’t know if you’re accepting reading requests—or just out here casually breaking hearts with your taste in stories—but I thought I’d take a chance and slide this your way. ✨

If you end up liking it (or if it emotionally wrecks you in a good way), don’t just disappear like a cliffhanger at 3AM. Vote like you mean it. Comment like you’ve got gossip. Spill the tea on the plot, the characters, the chaos. I want it all.

Thank you for your time—and apologies for barging in like a mysterious stranger with a tragic backstory.
          Here’s the madness ➤
