i am absolutely heartbroken. heartbroken over the fact that my own life and course could be so carelessly handed over to a man that knows nothing about what it is to be a woman. i got my first period when i was only eleven years old. imagine FORCING an innocent eleven year old girl to have a pregnancy. it is a disgusting thought for all of us i’m sure. but banning abortion isn’t JUST banning abortion. if it was really about the life of the fetus than congress would be doing more to help these children after they have been forced to be born. they would help, build, and improve a better foster care system. they would do more to help the homeless children that were left because the mother was forced to give birth. if it was really about the life of the child then they would rush to prevent school shootings.
the consequences of getting an abortion in a state that outlaws it is 15 years in prison. the average sentence for rape can range from 2-10 years. some rapists don’t even get 1. getting arrested for having an abortion can also lead to having your voting rights taken away.
if aborting a “child” that is incapable of any active brain activity is murder, then miscarriages is the leading cause of death all over the world and should be taken way more seriously.
it’s not about saving the life of a child, it’s about controlling women, and controlling votes.
