Barbara de Mora was born in Oxfordshire, UK. After qualifying with a degree in Psychology at the University of Wales, she lived for 24 years in five different countries: England, New Zealand, Canada, France and Germany. Barbara began writing animal stories for her children in New Zealand, and whilst living in the South of France, she wrote 'The Monaco Trilogy' for adult readers.

Barbara's fantasy works draw on her passion for astrology and palmistry, together with her appreciation of the spiritual and psychic dimensions. Having a scientific upbringing and family life encouraged Barbara to compare 'logical reality' with the inner psychic experience. Barbara also paints imaginary works of art.
