Hey! I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took time reading this novel of mine. The second installment of BMS, Warmth in the Cold has officially ended. Thank you for loving Drex and Laya!
          
          I'm so proud of myself for this. One of my goals this year has been achieved! I'm so overwhelmed.
          
          I thank God for the abundant creative juices, for igniting that fire again, and I dedicate this novel to those who waited for Drex and Laya patiently. Thank you so much, blackroses!
          
          Writing Warmth in the Cold comforted me through my physical health challenges. I hope this story brings you warmth, too.
          
          Today is a beautiful day.
          
          I hope one day, we may all find a love so gentle and kind. The one that keeps us safe and protected from the ruthlessness of this world. I hope one day we will be like Drex who found a purpose... a reason to continue living. I hope one day we will be like Laya who despite all the ugliness and harshness life has thrown at her, she never gave up. I hope one day, we can all finally reach the light at the end of the tunnel, and always remember that there's always warm days ahead of every cold nights. I'll be rooting for you all!

Guys, unpublish ko po muna yung WITC. I will finish it offline because honestly, nawala ako sa momentum while writing it kasi ang dami kong personal na ginagawa huhu. This is why i always write characters struggling mentally. This is why i always talk about mental health. IT MATTERS. I hope you can choose to stop being insensitive and unkind, saying that THIS is all in our heads because it is a real health condition. Karamdaman po siya. It is not something you can joke about or use against someone who is dealing with it constantly. Napakahirap. If u are not going through something like this, be thankful kasi hindi lahat immuned sa ganito (esp clinically diagnosed that u have to take meds, go through therapies, be on guard because of black outs and ptsd) because all of us wish we are not going through it. Please, keep an open mind and a little kindness goes a long way.
          
          Rest in eternal peace in the loving arms of God, Emman. My deepest condolences to the Atienza family.

          Everyone scrambled in their seats. 
          
          Kaagad akong sumunod nang igiya si Laya ng mga officers sa detention facility. Naiwan si Ford para makipag-usap sa Judge at Prosecutor. 
          
          Her room has never been so cold. Lalo na noong iniwan kami ng mga guard sa loob. 
          
          "Laya—" 
          
          "You kissed me!" 
          
          Nanlaki ang mga mata ko. I was quick to cover her lips with my palm and wrap my arm around her waist. 
          
          "Shh! Baka may makarinig..." 
          
          Slowly, I put my hand down, resting it on her shoulder. She breathed heavily. 
          
          "You... H-hindi kita maintindihan! Hinalikan mo ako bago ako sumuko dito tapos... Tapos sasabihin mo h-hindi mo ako kilala!" Pabulong niyang asik, ngunit matalim ang sakit na dulot noon sa akin.

          Parehas kaming nakahiga sa kama, my arm flexing underneath her head. The curls of her hair spread though the white pillow, my fingers arbitrarily played with some strands, gently.
          
          Unti-unting bumigat ang kaniyang paghinga. She's fallen asleep. 
          
          I sighed.
          
          "Life... and this world was never kind to me, Laya. It's beautiful but never kind. That's why I'll do everything I can to make life and this world less harsher towards you. If you cannot find anything else kinder... then I will be one. Just so you can still hope for something better for you. Just so you won't give up. Just so you can stay warm..."

My boat is sinking, and the deepness of the ocean is cold but somehow soothing my burnt skin.
          
          Habang papalubog, napalingon ako at nakita na mas nauuna si Laya sa pagbaba kaysa sa akin. So I am trying to pull her up. Just until she reaches the surface. And once I bring her up there, I'd let my weight take the best of me... and finally drown.
          
          My spirit is already lukewarm, and there's no saving.
          
          My lifeline's until I have someone else to save. And once my purpose is done, I will be okay with leaving. I wonder how it feels to be the one to leave first...
          
          And until then, I'd be contented with the cold.
