It uses AES-256-CBC, or other authenticated modes. The standard is 802.11, by the IEEE. Typical frequencies are 2.4 and 5 GHz
          
          RSA. Key lengths up to 4096 bit composite numbers. Factors into two large primes, used for encryption. It is a trapdoor function, which can allow authentication. It is not elliptic curve based.
