Summer Lumens has always been a perfectionist. She’s had straight As all four years of high school, is President of the student council, and has never missed a single day of school. Top of her class, Summer has already begun writing her salutatorian speech for her high school graduation in just under two years. But when her estranged father dies of a drug overdose, her therapist mother insists she take a week off to “process her emotions”. Summer is frustrated to lose her perfect attendance record, but when she finds out that the week off cost her the number one spot in the class, she’s furious. And who took her place? None other than Baker Scott, the quiet football player who no one seems to know much about. Summer didn’t even know he existed until she found out he replaced her as top of the class. Now she has to regain her position, which can only mean one thing: the war has begun, and Baker Scott is the enemy. This is a game Summer is sure she’s going to win. The only problem? While Summer is playing the game of war, Baker is playing something completely different. And it doesn’t take long before Summer is playing right along with him.
          
          There’s a fine line between love and hate, and Summer is about to find out how fine that line actually is.

Hello, my dears! Quick note: I know I've been slacking on responding to comments lately. I can't do it on my phone anymore, because it crashes the app. And I've been so busy unpacking that I haven't had time to sit on my computer and respond. But I read them all, and they are all so appreciated. One of these days I'm going to sit down in front of my computer and respond to them all at once. But just know that I love reading them, and I'm so thankful for all of them.

As many of you already know, I've been having some serious family problems lately. My brother and I have been spending a lot of time with our mom, who was treated for a stroke back in January. It's been a long road already, and we're still at the beginning. But I really appreciate all the kind words you've all shared with me over the last few months. They mean a lot.
          
          A Taste of Cinnamon is NOT on a hiatus. I'm still working on it all the time. But the stress is starting to eat me alive, which is why the updates have been so few and far between. I'm so sorry about that, and I hope to post a new chapter very soon. But I wanted to thank everyone for sticking with it, and me, during this scary time in my life. It means more than I can tell you. Thanks for the continued reads and comments. You are all super amazing.

Just finished this incredible enemies to lovers story, and would absolutely recommend! Jana is one of my favorite writers on here, and the truth is that I would recommend all of her stories!
