Also; why are most love stories about the cis straight white girl and the also straight white boy and somehow everything works for their connivence except a love rival of sorts??? Like can we just get some queer couples that are in a 1) healthy 2) not dependent on sex 3) one of them isn't cheating on/ used to have an abusive ex. Mostly 1 and 2 tho. Like 9/10 times that's what I get. There aren't even any books that have lgbt+ characters that are there for more than a ship or just for representation. I want a character that's actually plot relate to and not just some side character mentioned once because they were trying to seduce the main character who's straight and stuff. Like give me an lgbtqa+ character who's sexuality is there, not the biggest characteristic nor the smallest. Just give me some accurate representation.
