hi to anyone who’s still active and follows me! after a very very long hiatus i’ve decided it’s time to get back into writing and posting.
i’ve grown a lot and i’m hoping to show that in my writing. i’m going to be changing things up a bit and finally stop updating fragments. new things to come soon!
sorry for my random disappearance. i had a rough break up in august with the guy i had been dating for a year and kissed in front of the eiffel tower, and he turned out to be shit. i got a new boyfriend in september and ive been so happy that writing has become hard. my poetry was a release for my pain and now that pain is fading. i’m learning how to balance writing my pain in the small moments i feel it, but also i’m finally learning to write the happy emotions i also need to release. thank you for being patient with me, as i’m still growing in my writing every day. i hope to make more constant updates to fragments
nvm now fragments is almost at 700 reads and almost 150 votes. i’ve cried so much tonight lol
fragments has almost 600 reads and almost 100 votes. tonight i’ve been fucked up and on the verge of a panic attack. this has made me smile for the first time today
it pisses me off to see vocabulary as a category to judge poetry. you don’t have to use fancy words to make an impact. it’s just ridiculous
Lol. That's so true. It's so hard to judge poetry because of how subjective it is. Everyone experiences a poem differently. With that said, grammar seems a little more important than fancy words because it is important do that people can actually understand what you are trying to say. A lot of grammar is unimportant, though. In my opinion, the only way you can judge a poem is by considering what experience the poem makes you have. Again, I totally agree with you. It's impossible to truly and fully judge a poem.
ive just posted the first chapter to my most important and meaningful book. it’s my personal love story and is dedicated to my boyfriend. it’s called the alphabet of us. please read it as it means a lot and the point of the book is basically to immortalize our love when we are no longer on this earth, though our love is eternal beyond just this life.
my boyfriend has no clue about this as i’m surprising him with it on our one year anniversary 7/16/19
maybe it’s because i’m in a depressive episode rn, but wattpad is so unfulfilling lately. i don’t have people reading my stuff and i feel like quitting a lot
@SentimentalboyPATD thank you. it’s been a year now and it’s been really good at times and really boring some other times, and it especially sucks now because i’m getting better with my writing. i really needed to hear that tho. i’m going to keep going
@almostbrokken I really feel like it comes in waves. Every so often I'll get about 40 reads in one go, and then it'll be about a month before anyone reads it again. Its annoying that stuff that you put so much work into arent getting noticed as much as you want it to - but dont quit. The wait is often worth the result. Xx
