Hi all,

I made this announcement yesterday in the Author's Note of Per Aspera, but it's important I share it here too:

I'm planning to move away from using Wattpad and am going to try to traditionally publish both existing and new works. I have been writing on Wattpad since 2012 and have come a long way in that time, but I no longer see Wattpad as the future of my writing.

Many of you have encouraged me for years to try to traditionally publish, and that is my new goal. I would love for you all to see my works on the shelf of a bookstore one day! For the remainder of this year, I'm hoping to get a manuscript together of some existing drafts (*cough cough* Can You Hear the Ocean?) and circulate them to literary agents.

I want to emphasize that my works on this account aren't going anywhere. The only exception to that would be if one of my existing drafts gets picked up by a publisher, in which case it would have to be removed from the site. I would obviously notify my followers prior to that happening.

Regarding new works, I do have a half-formed idea for my next novel in mind. I imagine I will begin writing later this year or in 2026 depending on how the literary agent search is going. I may end up posting that novel on Wattpad, with the caveat that it only be up temporarily to gain feedback. Though I don't write much fanfiction these days, rest assured that any new fanfic I write will of course be published to this site and to my AO3 account.

I intend to still check this account often and interact with my readers, as well as post updates on how the publishing process is going, but it's not likely there will be much new content published on this account. I'm sure this announcement might sadden some of you who have followed me over the years, but I hope that you'll wish me the best of luck in the publishing process.

Thank you again to my followers, new and old, for your support over the years. I hope to share many positive updates with you in the future :)

Hello! I'm unsure if you still remember me(probably not), but i believe i shared with you last year that I visit your book Teenage Dreams and Autumn Leaves every autumn ish, without fail. I moved from Washington to California and changed my preferred reading platform to AO3 but despite that still went back to your book as per routine. There's just something about the quality of it- I like the descriptive, unforced verbiage and how dreams were realistically realized with a bit of book magic. Thank you for creating such a wonderful work Meliora, from the bottom of my heart!

Hi all! I wanted to share that I submitted both Ad Astra and Autumn Leaves and Teenage Dreams to the Amby Awards this year, and both have qualified for Round 3, their final round of judging before deciding winners! Thanks all for your support, and best of luck to the other candidates

The first two chapters for Per Aspera (the sequel to Ad Astra) are now out! Thanks all for your patience as I worked on this one. I'm happy to finally be sharing this novel with you.

Regarding the cover - this is a (most likely) temporary cover for now. I'm hoping to have the same friend who created the first cover work on the second one once he gets less busy. So apologies for the not very uniform covers between the two works.

Updates will be weekly on Friday! Happy reading!

Per Aspera synopsis is now written! As a reminder, Per Aspera will start publishing weekly in only a few weeks’ time on September 20! Thank you all again for your patience. Here’s the synopsis for the sequel:

Following the failed assassination of the Magnuvian royal family, Fetia and her family escape to Landiani, where they remain hidden for a few months to heal and strategize. However, when Fetia’s mother decides to resume her assassination plan, Fetia realizes she can no longer stand by her mother and sister’s side. Fetia decides to craft her own plan to gain her country’s independence, one that won’t incite more violence or put Princess Asteria in danger. Fetia flees from her mother and sister and begins to travel the expanse of the Magnuvian empire. Along the way, she forms close alliances and also meets familiar faces. Will she succeed in protecting both Princess Asteria and securing her country’s independence, or will her mother and sister foil her plans and plunge the Magnuvian empire into even more chaos? Find out in the sequel to Ad Astra - “Per Aspera.”
