Megan

My name is Megan. I am an undergraduate of History with the vague hope of one day becoming a writer. The prospect that I have no other career plans features often in middle-of-the-night crisis thoughts. If I had my way I would stay a student for life as the relaxed working hours suit my nocturnal lifestyle. 

I live in Yorkshire, although I am originally from the empty, rural, black hole of the very North of England. It is still a novelty for me to live 34 steps (yes, I counted), to the nearest shop. I am used to being surrounded by fields of sheep, a few mountains and nothing more. The change of living in a city is a pleasant one. 

I love music. Specifically Indie/Alternative. My favourite band is probably Arctic Monkeys. Notable mentions include: Arcade Fire, The Smiths, HAIM, Palma Violets, Alt-J, The Killers, The Vaccines, Foals, The Last Shadow Puppets, London Grammar... and so much more. Alas, there is a character limit on this so I'll leave it there. Most of my student loan is fluttered away on gig tickets and music festivals... YOLO.

I currently, and very proudly, hold one of the positions of Gamemakers on @Author_Games, the not-quite-official writer games account.

- Drinks Earl Grey tea 
- Is a feminist
- Finishes all essays at 5am the day before to increase the thrill of essay writing
- Probably contributes to 50% of Nando's annual profit single-handedly
- Sometimes struggles from a severe deficiency of common sense
- Has strong opinions on certain things. Apparently this can be a flaw. But hey, I would rather be annoyingly stubborn than vapid and clueless.
