Hello, I am her friend Aya. Yes, it is true, she passed away in March. She had given me access to her account and asked me to inform her friends here if anything happened to her, which she knew was inevitable. From time to time, I visit this space (though not always) to check on her unpublished stories and ensure that her favorite books are added to her favorites list. I promised her I would take care of it, and I am doing my best to honor that promise.

Thank you everyone for sending love on this page. I wish it had been enough. I wish that moment never happened. It breaks my heart that the loss was still there regardless. I'm in a state of shock I can't explain. I think this is what it feels like to feel like you couldn't make a difference when you really, really wanted to. I wrote and wrote and wrote and hoped that my messages would make a shift of a change, and they didn't. And your messages on this board were so so sweet. Thank you all for trying.
Please, PLEASE, if you're ever in a moment of distress where you are considering not being here anymore, talk to someone, don't hold it in, don't bottle it up, it makes things worse and it builds the momentum for it. Talking to someone you trust helps. Talking to two helps more. Talk about it until the relief of it shadows the darkness of it. I promise change is around the corner, and yes, sometimes that corner is a little far, but you'll turn it at some point.
Please reconsider if you ever consider this option.

Her name is Rania.
And she tragically passed away by comitting suicide.
