i have made so many adjustments to backstories omg i need to stop someone take my notes app away from me
          
          who wants fun facts or like a separate random story that is literally only backstories and like explaining how everyone got to where they are for character info dumps
          
          i NEED to rant about these four morons (isaac, alex, robin and sammy)
          
          each one of them is so different and borderline + frontline arent big enough for me to literally spill every single bit of their lore so lemme know if you want to see the absolute chaos my notes app is
          
          in the meantime whilst i finish off some more borderline chapters, is there anything you guys would like to see become canon or any headcanons PLS i actually love it when people imagine characters doing silly shit like burning water or like they used to eat sand when they were four it gives me so much motivation to write more so that i can get to the scenes which incorporates whatever the suggestion is

i just wrote the most gut-wrenching fucking isaac and robin scene in my notes app and i've been bawling my eyes out for like 20 minutes not even being funny
          
          i might turn it into a chapter for frontline since i don't think it'll fit into borderline's story
          
          the thing with their [isaac and robin's] relationship was that it wasn't toxic but it was nearly 'bittersweet' in a way
          they were mainly together for hook ups but they did genuinely like each other, just didn't know how to show it
          their personalities clashed badly, (+ sprinkle in some robin trauma and isaac being completely unhinged) and i think you get the gist
          
          but holy fuck i listened to less by olivia rodrigo whilst reading it anddd honestly biggest mistake of my life no joke i haven't stopped crying
          
          this next borderline chapter is in isaac's pov and just a little side note: isaac is a lot more perceptive and alert than alex, making his chapters more 'personal' and definitely more thought-based
          
          he's a highly intelligent character and since he comes off so blunt and practically drier than the sahara desert in alex's bias pov, i wanted to show his thought process and the way he perceives everything by making borderline a dual pov book with MAYBE some povs from the likes of robin, sammy, or even side characters like riley or daniel
          
          what i will say is that even though isaac is more perceptive, that doesn't make alex 'incompetent' or dull. alex's povs are more built on dialogue and his humour because he experiences the world socially whilst isaac's povs are more built on internal thoughts and him taking in surroundings because he notices patterns more than people first :)
          
          alex is smart- just not as observant as isaac
          same with isaac, he's smart, but just not as social as alex
