So I haven't been posting... School just started and I already pulled out four of my braids. Anyways, did y'all see Teyanna in that focus video? She is slamming! Basically that's how Desire dances, but yunno, not to Kanye West songs with a cat face. That doesn't happen lmao. Anyways, it's a 3 day weekend, so maybe I'll update for Labor Day.

Ugh. It's so hard to write Flame right now. I just don't know what to do. Dancing With Him is getting more attention and that's good, so thank you to everyone that's adding the story to their reading lists, but that story is already completed. I'm just struggling with life right now... everything is falling apart with me and my writing used to be an escape, but now it's feeling like another responsibility and idk if I can handle it anymore.
I wish I could say I still love writing on wattpad but I cant. I don't really know how to express myself with words anymore... lately all I do is cry. Nevertheless, I'm gonna push through, and I'm reconsidering putting back up my Childish Gambino story, or rewriting DWH2 since it's getting so much attention. Let me know what I should do...

Anybody else go through their archive to see how they've grown as a reader? Most of the books I used to read were purely fanfiction, my first book even was purely FanFiction. Diggy was famous, there was drama, pregnancies, all of that. But as I go through my current library, and the list of books that I'm currently reading, I realize that I'm growing. Not only as a person, but as a reader and author. I was writing "Dancing With Him" for almost two years, and you could tell how I was developing. My writing isn't as childish anymore, but it's more realistic, and for that I am glad. Now, some of the books on my reading lists, (mainly the Mindless Behavior and Diggy ones) are slightly childish, only because they're for pure enjoyment, and they're on childish subjects. We all were infatuated with Diggy and MB in our tween years, but as we've gotten older, I find that we need older influences. I think that's why so many of us write about August Alsina, because he's relevant. He's a grown man, so we can write grown things. The logic is simple. I want to apologize for deleting "Dancing With Him: Forever and Always, Dirty Dancing" but my heart just isn't in it. I felt like if I continued that book, it would go in the wrong way, and it wouldn't reflect me as a writer. When I joined wattpad almost 4 years ago, I was a child. Now I'm not. My writing has changed, and my ambitions have changed. The people relevant in pop culture have changed. And so has my literature. If you enjoyed the first "Dancing With Him", I really encourage you to read "August's Flame". It shows how I've grown, and how times have changed. Although I still have many things to work on as an author, I feel that "August's Flame" is a big way to show you all that I've grown up a bit. Thank's for following, and reading. -Kyla
