Hi, pleased to see you are checking out my profile. I like to read rom-com as long as it's realistic, preferably teen fiction and it's not cliche. I also like to read angst, drama and mystery so much sometimes, if it's written well, that I scare myself. 
I am currently writing "Beyond Recall" which is a teen fic I am  determined to make a somewhat different yet as realistic as possible. As I was writing this story I came to subconsciously understand that a lot of inspiration came from Curtis Sittenfeld's Prep, most importantly including the idea of an elite high school in Masssachusetts. This book is a very important part of my life. It taught me that to make a character relatable, only awkwardness and clumsiness doesn't always do the trick. You have to balance the flaws and qualities, and whether it's written in first person or not, you'll have to make the protagonist unaware of it, because what are the other characters in the story there for?
