"Sirius? Sirius Black? I'm going to marry Sirius Black?" You asked in shock, hoping it wasn't true.
          
          Your parents nodded, your father looking quite displeased with your response. He was all about the family name and honour, saying this is what a woman was meant to do. To marry and carry on the pure blood line.
          
          Your mother softly began saying, "Mr. and Mrs. Black believe this will be a wonderful union between the two families, even given the fact that Sirius is the Black sheep of their family. They believe getting him married to a good woman is a huge step into making him someone who will finally bring honour to the Black family."
          
          You felt like you were going to throw up. Sirius hated your guts and you were to spend the rest of your life with him?
          
          "The engagement is to be held in two days and once you are to graduate, your wedding will take place in early July."
          
          And two days later, you were standing in front of Sirius, exchanging rings.
          
          "Just so you know," Sirius quietly directed at you, as he slipped the ring on your finger in front of all the guests, "This doesn't change anything between us. I always have and will continue to hate you.
          
          "I didn't expect it to change anything." You said, eyes flickering up briefly to meet his, "But we have to spend our whole lives together, we can at least try to come to terms with each other right?"
          
          Sirius' stare turned icy, "Not even in your dreams, L/n." He breathed out with disdain, making your stomach tug slightly into a knot, not knowing how you were going to spend your life with him. "I vow to make your life a living nightmare, my dear wife-to-be."

A black dog was barking at a tall man before him, who had a big scowl on his face, stick raised up above to strike the canine. He made a move but you leapt forth, putting yourself between the two.
          
          "Stop! You can't hurt this innocent creature!"
          
          The man, who you knew as a local shopkeeper, flared his nostrils, his black, bushy moustache twitching.
          
          "He was stealing food from my shop! Of course I'm going to hit him!"
          
          You gave the man a deadly glare. "And I'll make sure that is the last thing you ever do. Now, back. Off."
          
          The man scowled at you and then gave the dog a dirty look before he scampered back into his shop.
          
          You let out a breath of relief before turning around, y/e/c eyes peering at the shaggy haired canine in front of you. Your face softened, heart twisting when you looked at the dog. You bent down, gently stroking his head.
          
          "Aw you poor baby. You must be starving." You stood back up and beckoned the dog to follow. "Come on, you're coming home with me." You lovingly said, the dog appearing hesitant at first before his tail began to happily wag and he strutted after you.
