“But I, and only I… simply cannot go back over there!!”

Weak in order to love, strong in order to protect, both in order to stay at your side. This is the story of a certain girl; what are girls made of? Sugar, spice, and everything nice. They're made out of this and that. A lady...it's your job to smile and be surrounded by nice things, just like in nursery rhymes. 

It's the most important thing, to be an innocent, naive girl. Should be super weak and cute in front of her lord. Poetry over philosophy. Embroidery rather than cooking, dance instead of chess. Be an unknowing angel. Every girl born in the country of roses is raised by these words. That's why I'm the same.

 However, in one way I was always different from other girls. I wasn't dancing the waltz in those halls, 

Ciel, my cute fiance is one year younger than me. At that time I decided... that I would become a wife that he could protect. 

But that day... becoming a cute wife that could be protected by Ciel was my dream. But that dream was never to be fulfilled. 

Wearing my pitch-black clothes, with my pitch-black feelings, one month of a pitch-black winter had passed, when...suddenly, Ciel came back.

Along with a pitch-black butler.

 The Ciel that had returned to us had become thinner and shorter than I was. But I realized soon that...it wasn't Ciel who had become shorter, it was me who had grown taller. 

At that point in time, I made the decision. That I would become a wife capable of protecting Ciel. But...it's better to be cute after all. Even though all the girls my age are wearing cute heels...for Ciel who is trying hard to be seen as an adult...I will smile and walk beside him in my childish low-heeled shoes. Low-heeled shoes, mother's teachings, a sword to protect you. Those are the "nice things" that my current self is made of. 

I'M FINE WITH NOT BEING CUTE, AS LONG AS IT MEANS THAT I CAN PROTECT YOU!!
