He stared at the dark of the cave, his left eye twitching as he stepped forward. The darkness engulfing him, he had entered. One entrance; one exit. No going back. Putting his left foot forward, he heard a deep droning sound. Terrified, he slowly and nervously looked to the cave roof. There, clinging to the dark, wet stone with its long, black claws, was a ferocious creature, eight feet in all, waiting to pounce on its prey. And it had found its next target. Closing his eyes, he wondered what had led him to this moment.
