About me, eh? I'm a college student seeking a marketing degree from a certain university in a certain city in a certain state. Born and raised just outside of Chicago, but have lived in more cities than I have the time to count. Been a reader since I was old enough to spell "bookworm," and am fascinated by all genres, with a particular penchant for science fiction and science fantasy. My career with writing began with a short story contest in fourth grade and hasn't let up since.

I like stories that can take my mind on an adventure, past the blandness of day-to-day life to somewhere greater (or much worse). The current trend of "holier-than-thou" writers trying to make fiction more "realistic" makes no sense to me - escapism is the entire point.

My favorite novel is 1984 by: George Orwell. I think it did a fantastic job of critiquing not only the errors of communism, but also making heavy social commentary on the make up of human nature. Its a really good book if you have yet to read it, and it inspired much of my own work.

Basically, I'm a guy who's goal is to write things that make you think, things that make you look at the world around you and ask questions, some of which may or may not have answers. I hope that my writings affect you, that they leave an impression on you, and that they stick in your mind well after the last page has been turned.
