Hello friends! If you’re here for ‘The Winter She Made’… I regret to inform you (actually, I don’t regret it at all) that the “final” chapter was not, in fact, the final chapter. We are marching directly into Thunderbolts. Now, if you’ve been around here for more than five minutes, you already know me. You know I was never going to let Kit and Bucky just get engaged, exchange a few soft kisses, and ride off into some peaceful, domestic sunset. No, no. That would be merciful. And if you’ve read literally anything I’ve written, you know mercy isn’t really my specialty. What you will get is everything I love to put my favorite disaster duo through—chaos, heartbreak, sharp edges, and the kind of messy complications that come from trying to build something like a “normal” life after decades of trauma. You’ll get Bucky learning what it means to be loved without conditions. You’ll get Kit fighting like hell for joy, even when the world tries to snatch it away. And you’ll get both of them realizing that no matter what storm I throw at them, they’re still hopelessly, irrevocably, stupidly in love. Because yes, there will be pain. Yes, there will be trauma (hi, have we met?). But underneath every bruise, every scar, every fight—they’re each other’s home. And that’s not changing. So don’t pack up yet. The ride isn’t over. If anything, the fun (and by fun I mean trauma, but also kissing) is just getting started.
