WutheringDepths

Exert from Chapter 60 of NOSAS (coming soon):

Prince Jamar Anatolius entered the grand hall followed by his entourage proudly. He was tall, broad shouldered, gold skinned with ink black hair that fell softly atop his head, meeting with a fine beard, short and even over the elegant angles of his jaw. Crimson and gold enveloped him, fitted to his body in fine clothes that might have swallowed any man less regal.

That was the first thing a person could comprehend when looking upon the eldest Prince of Eseria, Jamar Anatolius was devastatingly beautiful.

As, all at once, Jamar caught the eyes of all courtiers and noblemen alike, soft gasps sounded beneath the hush, such was the effect of a person with disproportionate beauty. When Jamar entered a room, the very hierarchy of its residents was reset; it was the power of desire, after all, you couldn’t dominate a person you yearned to worship. Even here where wit and cunning made Masters out of lowly men, a pretty face played a factor in success. And if you were being honest, beauty always played a factor.

I'm participating in more awards, and this time a judge!

If you recognise these awards from my profile, it will be because I participated as a contestant in the Sunflower Awards 3.0, where I won in my category for Fantasy. (Check it out in my reading list 'Awards I've participated in'). In this new instalment of the awards, I'll be working with the sunflower community as a judge for the fantasy category! There are still many spaces open in my genre as well as many others so submit a form if you're interested. :)

"I've been all around the world, Mira, and in my experience, the most extraordinary events have little to do with any of the special heroes and chosen princes of prophecy the stories will have you believe. No, the real excitement begins with the most ordinary people, the unimpressive, unremarkable and the nameless"

"You've got to understand Mira, that one year can be as short as a second and as long as century. In that short and endless time, Alden had made more than one brother; the coterie are vowed to protect one another as family do, and I imagine it must be awfully hard not to come to love someone you'd die for. Alden had submerged himself in their world and in the six months of his gambit, his new brothers and sisters in arms had leapt into his, they would have had to rely on their boy captain at every turn, and at some point, they had to have put their faith in him. How's that for romance?"

WutheringDepths

Exert from Chapter 55:

'The princess latched onto a person's desires and affirmed her power of bringing them to fruition, and thus she got away with the wildest things; from a snarky comment she couldn't help but make, to dangerous plots entangling the most untrustworthy of men. Fairuza could survive blaspheming a god if she promised him the stars, and it'd surprise no-one if the Princess of gambles gave it a try.'

Going on holiday next week so updates will slow down. Don't forget to check out the latest published chapters of NOSAS though!
