Okay, first of all I am still alive, but still haven't gotten my health issues resolved.  (¬_¬ )
          	
          	But really I am posting this just because I am curious.  If I like a comment made on my story, or elsewhere really, does the one who commented get an alert?  Cuz if not I am not entirely sure what the point of it is.

          	  I'm only asking the question to begin with because I have never seen a notification myself.  I send my support by liking a lot of comments.

@Writing-Pixie I have actually had both happen.  There is a setting that you can turn on and off. Some may not have theirs turned on.  It's automatically in the off position and you have to turn it on

Wow!  I literally just asked 6 days ago via announcement to not post spoilers in the comments via my stories and it has happened again!  I don't want the stories ruined for first time readers like that!  Please do not do it!  Also, I'm starting to consider to mute anyone who is a repeat offender.  I don't want to, but I don't know how else to make it stick...

Hey all!  I'm sorry.  I realize I haven't really been active for awhile.   I had a plan to start getting active again after I went on vacation the first week of August, but then two things happened to derail me.  
          
          The first was I broke my foot and sprained my ankle.  
          
          As, if that wasn't bad enough I also got the dreaded COVID.  I'm having mixed moments with it.  For the most part it feels like I have bad bronchitis and a touch of the flu.  Today it just feels like I got hit by a truck.  
          
          So, my new plan is try to aim for getting back to my stories by October at the latest.  I'm hoping September, but it will partially depend upon how long I have COVID and I don't want to tempt fate by doing things too early.  My luck will be I will be the first to have it in the house, and then somehow I will manage to get it again after it does a cycle through my family...  (Actually COVID might not even work that way, but this is what usually happens to me and illnesses...)

@Iwannahavemagic first of all sorry that I haven't replied.  I've been basically just relaxing on the loveseat downstairs, and I tend to use my PC for replies.  Tyvm for your well wishes.  Regarding COVID I think I am just shy of fully recovered.

@MitziCason I love at how surprised you are by that, and tyvm btw.  I have honestly had quite a few negative comments lately.  Today kind of came to a head because my mood was even poorer than normal due to being under the weather and a newer reader seemed to feel only negative comments needed to be made.  I'm not one to respond, because it just makes the situation that much worse usually.  Also, because I just don't feel like it's worth more of my attention.

I'm reading a new series on Kindle.  One of the characters is basically always hungry and has some pretty rare hilarious quips (that I wish I had been keeping better track of).  Right now they are on an island with very little food, and what food they have available is disgusting.  One of the other guys suggested he go hunt for food.  
          
          He basically sighed at him in annoyance and said, '"I can't hunt for food.  I don't know where tacos live."'

@__misscloe__ It's good, but each book is pretty long.  I had to put a pause on reading the last book because they all are full of conflict and action, and I needed some levity for a bit after reading the first four books.  I will say while they also the plots almost feel like they are on a neverending spiral of going through exceptionally similar plots.  I'm not saying I'm on a neverending spinning carousel and want to get off yet, but it was kind of a close thing.

@Writing-Pixie I've had it in my library for a month but as you said the cover didn't jump out to me so I've been putting off reading it, but I think I will read it after I finish my current series as it seems good from what you have said here
