That would make sense, even if it wasn't a spell (Which also makes sense, I didn't think of that) it was definitely Roger's fault. I read a cool Alex fan fiction story somewhere call The Grim Gray Hills that was really good, about why he did what he did. It kind of weirdly intense but in a good way and it just made me love him as a character even more. But I would also want to read a fan fiction where he wasn't evil because I like to think about how the story would have turned out if Roger hadn't chosen him to be his squire and if he'd spent more time with Alanna and her friends. I think George would have actually liked him cuz they can both be sneaky

Yes Alex did go all psycho but I blame roger for that I think that roger had Alex under some kind of spell and that's why he did all that like when Alex broke Alanna's  collar bone when myles came into the room it seemed that he didn't know what he was doing during the duel cause he snapped out of it when myles came in so I think that Alex had a good the whole time it was just hidden by roger

Yeah, you're right. Liam was annoying but Delia and whats-her-name (The princess) were crazy-annoying. And Thom could be annoying because he basically undid all of Alanna's work of killing Roger, and wasn't that kind of Delia's fault too? Her and Alex and Roger, they were kind of the evil people in the end. The princess wasn't around long enough to do that much damage. I kinda wish Alex hadn't been evil but the entire series you could see it coming, like he was never even friends with George cuz even then Alanna didn't trust him enough, and he pretty much tried to kill her about three times in one book
