Vigilem

Hey, my name is Ali, and I have always been one of those people you might call a Watcher, hence the name Vigilem. I stumbled across writing about the same time I began to appreciate reading, which was not until sixth grade. I guess I really did not understand how incredible it can be to immerse oneself in a fictional world and forget your troubles, even for a brief time. 
     I did not start thoroughly enjoy writing until the middle of my eighth grade year, when I started dabbling with poetry, short stories, and even novel ideas after being prompt to do so by my teacher and my best friend. I will be honest and say that most of those first stories ended up terribly, but I have learned that writers will often discard at least as may ideas as the ones they decide to keep. Such has been my experience. 
     Anyway, as much as I love writing, I find it hard to make the time for it. Life happens. I keep telling myself to upload the novel I am working on, but I have not found consistent time to post updates. I'm hoping to get things going in the summer. 
     One thing to know about me is that I love receiving constructive criticism to better my works. With this, I will also try my best to give a few tips to improving the pieces that I comment on and my comments are not intended to attack anyone's masterpiece. I apologize in advance if I come off a little strong, but that is only because I hope to receive the same type of criticism. I believe that if am going to take the time to comment, then I will do so with a purpose. I wish you the best of luck with your writing!
