Hi, I came across you on lyttlejoe’s message board, and stopped by. I was a big Duran Duran fan in the 80’s (everyone was), I saw them in concert four times, I think. I belonged to their fan club, and I still have some books, pins, etc. I think I donated the t-shirts, and probably threw out the posters. John’s daughter is nice, I follow her on Instagram. Now I’m a fan of BTS and TXT. Anyway, nice meeting you, my name is Karen and I live in NJ.
Hey everyone! I thought I'd post an update since it's been 3 months since my last. I am halfway through rewrites on my sequel to Secrets of a Pirate's Heart. That's pretty good considering my usual timing haha! I wish I could write more/faster but don't get me wrong, I am working really hard in between work on my lunch breaks and at nighttime before bed to bring this story to you all. I'm pretty excited about it and can't wait to share. Once I feel I have enough under my belt, I'll begin posting here :)
Hey everyone, just wanted to post an update about my sequel to Secrets of a Pirate's Heart. I finally finished the draft! Now it's time to begin the rewrites. I'm very proud of this story already and super excited to share it here :)

@Victoria_Brooks Hi, I remember your story, and I looked back, shocked to see I had so much to say - like I was some kind of professional. Wow! That was my 2nd year on WP and my own work was the definition of amateur. But when I see the number of reads you received, I feel quite good about having been there at the beginning. All the best of luck with your sequel.
I thought I'd post an update, though I'm not sure anyone reads these. I've been wanting to be more active on here lately and connect with other writers but with my busy life I'm not sure how...if you have any ideas, let me know :)
As for my sequel to Secrets of a Pirate's Heart, I'm just starting chapter 15. My family went on vacation without me but I wrote 5200 words so it was worth it. It's amazing what you can get done when you're alone! The story seems to be growing too so we'll see where it takes me. I may even have enough plot for book 3 *cries from being overwhelmed* Anyway, I'm having fun writing it and can't wait to share!

@Twilight171 I wish I had more time to be creative but unfortunately it's my day job that keeps me busy. And it just seems to get busier, it's hard to find time to write.
@Victoria_Brooks No worries, I wasn’t sure if you remembered. How’s life over there? What work keeps you busy? Secretarial? Creative?
I just noticed Call It Paradise is over 1k reads! How exciting. Thanks to everyone who has read the story!
As for my sequel to Secrets of a Pirate's Heart, I've made it to chapter 11. Hit a bit of writer's block on where to take the plot but I think it's forming into something so it's time to move forward with it. I'm hoping to have something for you all in the near future :)
Hey everyone, just wanted to leave an update. I actually have exciting news for all those who have read Secrets of a Pirate's Heart and especially for those requesting a sequel. Yes I am actually working on a sequel!
I'm just starting chapter 5 so I'm already a little ways into it but have much more to go. It's going to be an exciting and thought-provoking story as Scarlett tries to understand her relationships with her family, her long-lost sister and of course, the Captain *heart eyes*
I have a full time job so getting writing done is very tricky but I am trying my hardest when off the clock. It will take me time to draft and rewrite but I can't wait to start sharing here on wattpad hopefully soon :)
Hey I'm still around! Can you believe it? And I actually bring a new story. It's a short story but it took ridiculously long to finish.

@Twilight171 that's ok, there's something for everyone. I agree, Call It Paradise is a feel good story. I even like to read it haha!
@Victoria_Brooks Hiya I just read the intro for it. Not my style I can’t do macabre themes. Fragile from lack of sleep. Sorry hun. Something along the lines of all it paradise would suit me better. Romance and feel good Preferably no smut. Bored stiff from that. No pun intended
@Twilight171 yes same here. Life is busy here, hardly have time to write anymore either.
I feel like I've made so many empty promises about writing a sequel to Secrets of a Pirate's Heart but I swear I really want to do one! Work and life has been absolutely crazy and taxing but I'm finding a small streak of inspiration once in a while again and would love to get back into the groove of things...I miss writing.
