Heres some reliable advice: when writing a fanfic that involves a culture, make sure to do as much research on the culture and its people as possible such as ceremonies, languages etc. apply similar techniques when creating an OC or writing about a specific character as anything about them must be relvent to the fandom, otherwise you'll look like an idiot scribbler who has no idea what their doing. hope this helps :)
