@trekkiegeek I'd love to collaborate on one where its based (not so much,) on a ship as a struggling U.F.P. colony in the late 2200's / early 2300's with a bizarre series of earthquakes despite the scientists' strong certainty there shouldn't be any in that part of the planet. Due to the affluent backers of the colony's efforts to prevent them. Computer-controlled shock-absorbers / pressure regulators to off-set geo-thermal power taps from complicating things & weather modification technology, etc. The planet turns out to be an experiment left running by (implied TOS god-races known as The Preservers or Iconians,) and there's obviously man-made portals & corridors leading DEEP beneath the surface. Decks like a starship, family quarters, levels and areas like ships' stores & arboretums. Areas that may have been a battle bridge. Bodies. EVERYWHERE. Like they were ALL simultaneously caught by surprise by something.
