Hello, Wattpadders. I'm Tom. Father of three, lover of home theater, and part-time novelist. For my "pay the bills" job, I write for Audioholics.com, a home theater review and news website.

My first experience with storytelling came when I was just a kid. I shared a room with my younger brother and many nights I would tell him stories about us. We were using flying Battlestar Galactica spaceships and saving the world. Usually, he'd fall asleep before I was done and I'd keep talking until I got to the end of the story.

I had to know how it ended! :)

Like many, I started writing long ago. My first story was for school and it was about me being a ninja (I think I was in fourth grade at the time). Later, in college, I wrote a lot of surrealist short stories and angsty poetry. In my mind, some of it was quite good. I imagine if I ran across any of it now, I might think differently.

I wish I could tell you exactly where I get my inspiration. I honestly don't know. Like so many, I grew up playing DnD and video games while discussing the finer points of comics with my younger brother (comics was the only thing keeping us from trying to kill each other in our sleep). So, now I write about the stuff I'm interested in. And, frankly, that hasn't changed much since high school.

I've been a voracious reader all my life and have run the gamut from Lovecraft to Ayn Rand. My favorites are probably Frank Herbert (love the Dune series), C. S. Friedman (The Coldfire Trilogy), David Eddings (I know people love to hate him but I grew up on that stuff), E.E. "doc" Smith (Lensman series), and, of course. Tolkien. As you can tell, fantasy and science fiction weighs heavily in my preferences.

I hope you enjoy Bob Moore: No Hero. I love getting feedback so let me know what you think. Bob also has two new adventures out - Bob Moore: Desperate Times and Bob Moore: Hostile Territory. A fourth Bob Moore book is in the works and should be out this year.

And it is Friday again! Welcome to all my new followers. As promised, here is another story I wrote back in college. It is called Footsteps and I imagine I was having a bit of a bad day when I wrote...
