Part Three is now created and the first chapter of part three is posted (Chapter Eleven).
The violence is starting to escalate. Holbrook has already become a place a widow woman is uncomfortable to go. Tom Horn is riding around the valley again and folks still aren't sure who is paying him. The new Apache County Sheriff Owens makes an appearance and meets Nora.
Lots going on in this Part. Stay tuned! I update a chapter every couple of days, but if no one is reading, it might be more like five days! :)

Chapter Ten of Part Two of "The Rim Country: The War (1887)" is now up. This is another chapter from the POV of my mysterious Apache woman, Tall Reed, and we meet one who may have been Tall Reed's mentor. They both encourage Nora in her unique "double weather" place amidst the violence in the valley. https://www.wattpad.com/myworks/414294694-the-rim-country-book-two-the-war-1887
More writing on the Apache people coming... they are beginning to play a larger role in this story.

Chapter Four, Part One is now posted on https://www.wattpad.com/myworks/414294694-the-rim-country-book-two-the-war-1887
A young cowboy is found dead in a wash after a grazing land skirmish. Pastor Rodgers recognizes that burial services will become a growing part of his work and that his role in "the place between" the warring parties will grow more difficult.

Third chapter is now posted on Book Two of "The Rim Country". This chapter mentions a famous "wild-west" sheriff who will play a big role later and also references a more famous Apache warrior, who won't play much of a role.

Two chapters have been posted and edited on Book Two of "The Rim Country". The railroad town of Holbrook--the town too tough for churches--is invaded by shiftless cowboys of the Hashknife brand and Nora decides Holbrook is too dangerous. https://www.wattpad.com/myworks/414294694-the-rim-country-book-two-the-war-1887

Hello to whoever is out there listening! :)
Just wanted to let the folks who read "The Rim Country: Book One" know that I have published Chapter One of "The Rim Country: Book Two, 'The War' (1887)".

This book will take place during the most violent and exciting year of the entire Pleasant Valley War.

If you're on the fence about westerns, give me a chance and take a look at the first published part where I describe my motivation and what the reader will get out of this novel!

Check out my poll about which cover art you like best. I created some overlays that make the arrival in the valley look like morning and evening (the original is "mid-day"). It's in my "From the Author" part of "The Rim Country"
