I've been writing for many years, but only sporadically and mostly short stories. I think about stories a lot and occasionally one takes over so much that I have to write it down.

Recently I have got into a position where I have a lot more time to write and am working on some novels. My first two borrowed heavily from my short story skills and are fast paced and engaging.

My next two projects I have really stepped back on. After noticing how sparse on description my earlier works were I had a go at ignoring the pace and the word count so that the story just flowed on lazily like a big, old, wide river. It has been fun to write like this, but I know I'll be in hell when it comes to editing it all down. A part of me hopes the style will carry enough interest to not need too much pruning, but I know it is unlikely. Gone are the days when people enjoyed the journey and now we have to whiz our readers past the sights like a package tour on rails.

I really value the feedback and support I get from you all in the Wattpad community. So please comment and let me know what you think as you read. I like to reply and chat with you all.
