~BEAUTIFUL PERSON AWARD! Once you are given this award you're supposed to type it in and give it to 8 people who deserve it. If you break this chain nothing bad comes out of it but, it's sweet to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out ❤

Hey guys, I feel like I've been gone for a few centuries and it's about time I explain (I'm so sorry for the cliffhanger on BIABB).

First, don't let anyone tell you that writing fan fiction is pointless. I actually just got a job as a fiction novel ghostwriter because a ghostwriting company thought some (cleaned up, of course) samples of BIABB and a couple books you might never see were actually publishing-worthy. I actually still can't believe they read my samples of FAN FICTION, knew I’d never published a book, and were like "Yeah, hire this girl" xD

But anyways, what this means is that I'm doing things like writing someone's 35,000 word novel in less than three weeks. I've been surprised how easy-ish this is for me to do, especially since I tend to get stuck a lot (again, I'm sorry, don't hurt me), but it turns out, when writing fiction is what's paying for college, writer's block strikes less than usual.

Unfortunately, it also means that it's hard to find time or energy to write my own books. I'm using all my creativity trying to understand someone else's plots, worlds, and characters and write about them in a few weeks. Therefore, don't expect a ton of updates anytime soon :(

That being said, I am like four pages into the next chapter of BIABB. I don't like them very much, but they are written and I'll probably try to finish the chapter before school starts (August 20).

I think what I'm trying to say is:
          1) I'm about to be busy af send help plz
          2) I'm sorry for the cliffhanger, don't send the Dark Brotherhood after me
          3) Understanding someone else's thoughts well enough to write their book is hard
          4) Don't let anyone tell you fan fiction is pointless! I got a JOB. Like, that pays over a month's worth of rent. Because of fan fiction. Yeah, I still can't believe it either

And lastly, thanks for sticking around and/or reading this. Just wanted to let you guys know what’s going on ^_^

I’m trying to write my own Skyrim fan fiction and I was wondering how many words your chapters are on average. I don’t know how long to make them. What would you suggest would be a good word count?

babywincesskitty

Thanks. I’ll try that and maybe it will help me write longer chapters.

@babywincesskitty On average, 139820 words / 41 chapters = 3410 words on average. Mostly what I did, though, is refuse to end chapters before they were longer than 4 typed, single spaced, size 12 Times New Roman Microsoft word pages (except in special cases). After I reached that minimum I set for myself, I just kind of ended chapters when in felt right :) Some chapters might just feel better short. It's really up to you, but setting myself a minimum page count helped me really bring out my story.
