Recently, it came to my attention that a Wattpad user has posted content in their book that publicly targets and shames a minor by name for their reviewing style. The person being targeted did not consent to being mentioned and only found out through a friend.
          While disagreement is normal in creative spaces, naming a minor in a negative way inside a published book is against Wattpad’s guidelines. Many writers have publicly said they appreciated this reviewer’s feedback, so this feels more like retaliation than critique.
          I believe Wattpad should be a safe space for everyone, especially younger users. If you’d like to help, please report the content using the template below. Do not engage or confront the user — simply report and share this message.

          Subject: Harassment & Public Shaming of a Minor on Wattpad
          Dear Wattpad Support,
           I’m reporting a case of targeted harassment against a minor. A Wattpad book includes the user’s username and criticizes them harshly for their reviews, without consent. The content appears in the 10th-last chapter titled “Paws & Pens” in the book linked below:

          The minor found out from a friend and was understandably distressed. Several authors said the reviews were helpful — this seems more like retaliation than critique.
           This violates Wattpad’s guidelines against:
          Bullying or harassment
          Naming users (especially minors) to shame them
          Inciting community drama
          
          Please review the situation, remove the targeted content, and take steps to protect the minor.
